The Role of a Room Parent

Room parents are responsible for communicating with the teacher, Parent Liaison, and/or other
classroom parents to meet classroom needs, organize class parties, attend PTO meetings once a
month, facilitate teacher appreciation gifts in December and May, and other duties based on
the needs of the classroom teacher.

Each classroom can have up to two room parents who work as partners throughout the school year and communicate with all the parents in the classroom.
As a Room Parent, you are not responsible for being at the school daily.
Your time commitment is minimal, but your impact is huge.
You should be an effective communicator and be willing to talk to all the parents of students in the classroom.
Becoming a Room Parent will automatically fulfill your annual volunteer obligations.

El Papel de un Padre de Sala

Los padres de sala son responsables de comunicarse con el maestro, el enlace de padres y / u
otros padres del aula para satisfacer las necesidades del aula, organizar fiestas de clase, asistir a
reuniones de PTO una vez al mes y facilitar regalos de apreciación del maestro en diciembre y
mayo, y otros deberes basados en las necesidades del maestro de aula.

Cada aula puede tener hasta dos padres de sala que trabajan como socios durante todo el año escolar y se comunicancon todos los padres en el aula.
Como padre de sala, usted no es responsable de estar en la escuela a diario. Su compromiso de
tiempo es mínimo, pero su impacto es enorme.
Debe ser un comunicador efectivo y estar dispuesto a hablar con todos los padres de los estudiantes en el aula.
Al convertirse en un padre de sala, sus obligaciones anuales de voluntariado se cumplirán
automáticamente.
