French Language Assessment

DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) is an official French language proficiency certification awarded by the French Ministry of Education. DELF Prim, which we provide to GVA students, is a version tailored specifically for young learners. This diploma is recognized worldwide and is valid for life.

Eligibility: Students in 1st grade and above
Test Date: The week of May 4th (the exact testing date will be released later)

Spanish Language Assessment

DELE is the official title certifying the degree of competence and mastery of the Spanish language, granted by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain's Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. This diploma is recognized worldwide and is valid for life.

Eligibility: Students in 2nd grade and above
Test Date: May 22, 2026

Price Range: $115 (A1) to $139 (A2/B1)
Test Duration: 3 hours (extra time for speaking)
- Reading Comprehension: 1 hour
- Listening Comprehension: 30 minutes
- Writing: 30 minutes
- One-on-one assessment for speaking
DELE results are sent directly from the head office in Madrid to each student approximately two and a half months after the exam. Results are delivered individually via email to the address provided on the registration form. The email includes the exam results and an official certificate from the Instituto Cervantes confirming the results.

Chinese Language Assessments

HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) is an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency administered by the National Chinese Proficiency Test Committee under the Ministry of Education of China. The HSK certificate can be used as a qualification for applying for scholarships to study in China. HSK test results are generally valid for 2 years from the exam date when used for application purposes.

YCT (Youth Chinese Test) is an international standardized Chinese proficiency test designed specifically for young learners whose first language is not Chinese. It assesses students’ ability to use Chinese in daily life and academic contexts and serves as a stepping stone for learners who plan to take the HSK in the future. YCT test results are generally valid for 2 years from the exam date when used for application purposes.

Testing Registration

The payment link will be sent to families through email upon completion of the registration form.
Guardians are responsible for transporting students to the testing site.
Test prices vary by level. Coaches or teachers will recommend the most appropriate level based on your child’s evaluation; however, placement at a recommended level does not guarantee a passing score.
Testing dates are fixed and cannot be rescheduled. Refunds are not available for missed tests due to tardiness or absence.
