School Safety & Emergency Response Plan

The GVA Aurora Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is based on guidance provided by the I Love You Guys Foundation, a program for crisis response and post-crisis reunification that is used in more than 50,000 schools, districts, departments, agencies, organizations, and communities worldwide.

The procedures are created through the research-based best practices of school administrators, psychologists, public space safety experts, families, and first responders. GVA Aurora's ERP is currently considered an "exemplar" plan by the Colorado Charter School Institute and is reviewed annually. Parents are welcome to view a hard copy of the ERP in our administration offices.
