East Campus Procedures

GVA East Campus
Students can be dropped off starting at 7:30 am
 
Parents will not be allowed to walk students into the school and must drop off at the designated drop off area.
  • GVA is not responsible/liable for students or any interactions between students before 7:30 am.
  • If an incident takes place before 7:30 am, it will not be handled by GVA-Aurora. You drop off your child before 7:30 am at your own risk. 
  • It is not recommended to drop off before 7:30 am unless your child is enrolled in before care.
  • In case of inclement weather, students will be dropped off at the designated area and walked inside by staff beginning at 7:30 am.
Morning Drop-Off Procedure (Beginning at 7:30 am)
  • Drive to the designated drop off area. (See map)
  • When you arrive, your student may unload from your vehicle.
  • Beginning at 7:40 am students will be escorted inside to their homeroom classroom for morning announcements. Breakfast will be served in the classroom. Breakfast is provided for free and reduced lunch students or can be purchased by other students.
  • Class begins promptly at 8:00 am. 
  • Follow and exit the one-way flow of traffic out of the parking lot.

Afternoon Pick-Up Outdoor Procedure – Begins at 3:00 pm Ends at 3:20 pm
  • No early pickup from 2:30-3:00 without prior notice.
  • No parents will be allowed inside to pick up their student.
  • Parents will pick up East Campus Students first and then West Campus; traffic leaving West Campus should exit south through the subdivision onto Alameda.
West Campus Students with Siblings at East Campus
  • West Campus students may walk down to East campus to be picked up with their younger sibling/s.
Designated Area - Outdoor Pick Up (20 degrees F or above.)
  • When you arrive on the North side of the parking lot, where the students are located, pull all the way up. Do NOT stop at your student’s class or leave gaps as this slows traffic. A staff member will come to your window and ask for your student’s name and teacher. You must provide this information or we cannot get your child.
  • Your student will be retrieved and sent to your car. As the year progresses, your child may come directly to your car without staff asking for them first. Never get out of your vehicle to look for your student. Please follow the flow of traffic to exit out of the parking lot.

  • All students must be picked up by 3:20 PM
Loading Lane - Indoor Pickup (20 degrees F or below, snow, moderate to heavy rain, extreme wind, wet parking lot.)
  • Drive through the Loading lane towards the stop sign by the hill.
  • A staff member will ask for your child’s name and grade.
  • In groups, staff members will bring out students from inside every few minutes.
  • Once your student is loaded, follow the flow of traffic out of the parking lot.
Fines for Late Pickup
East Campus: Starting at 3:20 pm parents will be fined $1.00 per minute, per child. West Campus pick up time is no later than 3:30 PM. Parents will be fined $1.00 per minute, per child.

Reminders
  • Be careful when driving through the parking lot to keep students and staff safe!
  • Never park on Mesa or the Apartments property. You may get ticketed or towed at your own expense.
  • There is no smoking allowed on school property (even in your vehicle). Staff observing any smoking on school property may collect the license plate and report to the authorities.
  • Parents will not be allowed to walk students into the school and must drop off at the designated drop off area.
